Boris Farmakovsky
Boris Farmakovsky ( 1870, Vyatka — July 29 1928 near Leningrad) was a Russian archaeologist, who began professional excavations of the ancient Greek colony of Olbia in Ukraine. http://www.jstor.org/pss/498359http://magazines.russ.ru/nlo/2006/79/su58.html
Farmakovsly served on many archeological commissions and was the curator of antiquities at the Hermitage from 1924-1928. His excavations at Olbia in 1986, 1901-1915, 1924-1926 provided as first an insight in ancient history of South Ukraine.
